The visual cliff’s notes of Dangerous Female Teacher (NSFW)

Friendly warning: do not read this if you aren’t into pretty awesome trashy horror manga, mostly in the realm of body horror. If you don’t know what body horror is, ask yourself if you like horror, excessive gore, monsters, or images of physical degeneration and mutation. If you do, body horror may be up your alley and I encourage you to read on.

Also, if anyone knows where to find more like this from the same studio, hit me the fuck up or post a comment here.

I stumbled across this manga recently by way of a single page shared on facebook and quickly tracked down the source material by Google’s image search function and tumblr. The original poster on tumblr, fortunately, includes tags for the title of manga.

The only websites I could find Dangerous Female Teacher on were porn websites such as e-hentai and guromanga. Yet, I would not call Dangerous Female Teacher pornographic or even ero guro. Instead, it’s a body horror enterprise with all the kitsch of the best 80s and 90s B-movie body horror. I would attribute this to the fact that mostly, the studio that produced this is known for porn. Dangerous Female Teacher, however, is largely without extraneous sexualization; the sole exception, the protagonist, is still never shown nude.

This work owes some fairly obvious debt to Pet Shop of Horrors by Matsuri Akino, taking the same episodic structure, and is moralizing in almost the same way. But the teacher, while being similar to Count D in some respects, is much more the sadist and, so far as I can tell, never gives contracts which explicitly identify what not to do. Instead, we see that when those who approach this teacher choose to give into their darkest desires, it inevitably destroys them, largely in extremely satisfying, and often in very well-rendered ways. The teacher always enjoys the spectacle. I don’t know a lot about Studio Paja, but I think they should have put out more serious body horror/gore comics like this, because it’s freaking gold.

Here’s the best of what I found in the first volume of DFT:

Volume 2 is fucking excellent, and manages to tread lightly into fleshbomb-style territory.
